专利说明:

The present invention relates to a saw blade comprising a first edge with teeth and a second edge substantially opposite the first edge, the second edge extending in a first main direction of propagation along a first part of its main part. propagation and in a second main direction of propagation along a second part of its main propagation, wherein neither said first nor said second main direction of propagation is parallel to a main direction of propagation of said first edge. The present invention also relates to a method of forming a trailing edge of a saw blade.
Canadian technology US, A, 4 160 397 discloses a construction for a saw blade and a method for manufacturing the same. The blade has a series of teeth shaped along an edge to define a cutting edge. The blade has a trailing edge that is increasingly inclined or conical in opposite directions from an adjacent point on the trailing edge. In the manufacture of the blade, the trailing edge is ground. A disadvantage of the described construction is that during operation it is exposed to unnecessarily large fatigue seals, partly due to the geometry of the rear edge and partly due to the fact that the rear edge is ground.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION A first object of the present invention is to provide a saw blade which, during operation, is subjected to lower fatigue seals and can be applied to corresponding saw blades. A second object of the present invention is to provide a method of forming a trailing edge of a saw blade. The invention thus comprises a saw blade comprising a first edge with teeth and a second edge, substantially opposite to the first edge, which second edge extends in a first main direction of propagation along a first part of its main distribution and in a second main direction of propagation along a second part of its principal extent, neither said first nor said second principal direction of propagation being parallel to a principal direction of propagation of said first edge. Said second edge extends substantially parallel to said first edge along a third part of its main extent, said third part connecting said first part with said second part.
Said second part may be longer than said first part in the main spreading direction of the saw blade. Said second part may be in front of said first part on the saw blade, meaning that said second part may pass the existing workpiece in front of said first part when sawing.
Said second edge may extend in said first main direction of propagation along a fourth part of its main extent. Said second edge may extend substantially parallel to said first edge along a fifth part of its main extent, said fifth part being able to connect said second part to said fourth part. Said fifth part may be at a shorter substantially perpendicular distance from the first edge than said third part Or.
The third part may be shorter than the first part in the main direction of propagation of the saw blade. Said third part may be shorter than said second part in the main spreading direction of the saw blade. Said third part may be longer than said first part in the main spreading direction of the saw blade.
Said fifth part may be shorter than said second part in the main spreading direction of the saw blade. Said fifth part may be shorter than said fourth part in the main spreading direction of the saw blade. Said fifth part may be longer than said fourth part in the main spreading direction of the saw blade.
Said third part may have a length of about 5-150 mm in the main spreading direction of the saw blade. Said third part may have a length of about 10-50 mm in the main spreading direction of the saw blade. Said fifth part may have a length of about 5-150 mm in the main spreading direction of the saw blade. Said fifth part may have a length of about 10-50 mm in the main direction of propagation of the saw blade.
The saw blade can be made of a band saw blade.
The invention thus also comprises a method of forming a trailing edge of a saw blade, the saw blade comprising a first edge with teeth and a second edge, substantially opposite to the first edge, corresponding to the trailing edge, which second edge extends in a first main direction of propagation along a first part of its main extent and in a second major direction of propagation along a second part of its main extent, neither said first 3 nor said second major direction of propagation being parallel to a major direction of propagation of said first edge. The trailing edge is formed by milling.
The milling can consist of high-speed milling. The milling can take place in the main longitudinal direction of the saw blade.
List of figures Figure 1 shows, in sectioned side view, a part of a saw blade according to the invention.
Description of embodiments Figure 1 shows what a part of a saw blade according to the invention looks like. The part consists of a part of a band saw blade which comprises a first edge 1 with teeth 2 and a second, edge opposite the first edge 1 substantially opposite, son 3 constitutes the rear edge 3 of the band saw blade. The first edge 1 extends straight and thus horizontally in figure 1 and parallel to the main longitudinal direction of extension of the blade sonn the main longitudinal direction of the blade, below different parts of the trailing edge 3 extending in different main extending directions relative to the first edge 1. A first part 4 of the trailing edge 3 thus extends in a first main direction of propagation relative to the first edge 1. Correspondingly, a second part 5 of the trailing edge 3 extends in a second main direction of propagation relative to the first edge 1. Neither the first nor the second main direction of propagation is parallel to the main edge the direction of propagation of the first edge 1. However, a third part 6 of the trailing edge 3 extends parallel to the first edge 1 and the third part 6 connects the first part 4 to the second part 5. The parts merge into one another.
The second part 5 is longer than the first part 4 in the main spreading direction of the saw blade and the second part 5 lies in front of the first part 4 on the saw blade, meaning that the second part 5 passes the existing workpiece in front of the first part 4 when sawing.
Furthermore, a fourth part 7 of the trailing edge 3 extends in said first main direction of propagation relative to the first edge 1. A fifth part 8 of the trailing edge 3 extends parallel to the first edge 1 and the fifth part 8 connects the second part 5 to the fourth part 7. The parts softly merge into 4 each other. The fifth part 8 is located closer to the first edge 1 than the third part 6 Or, i.e. at a shorter perpendicular distance from the first edge 1 to the third edge 6 Or. The said parts 4-8 occur periodically on the trailing edge 3 in such a way that the first part 4, the second part 5, the third part 6 and the fifth part 8 together form a first group with parts followed by one or more identical groups on the trailing edge 3. The fourth part 7 is identical to and consists of the first part of the trailing edge 3 in a group of parts adjacent to the first group.
When the belt according to the invention is used in a band saw, the trailing edge 3 rests against a pair of trailing edge guides (not shown) which are coated on 6 different sides of the workpiece being sawn. The presence of the "flat" parts 6, 8, i.e. the third part 6 and the fifth part 8, helps to reduce the contact pressure between the trailing edge guides and the blade at the points on the blade where the packings otherwise become largest when sawing, ie in the areas of changes of direction for the trailing edge 3 relative to the first edge 1. This is particularly important at the top of the curve formed by the contour line of the trailing edge 3 in Figure 1, i.e. at the third part 6. The reduced contact pressure leads to considerably improved fatigue properties. When sawing, the blade in Figure 1 moves from the left to Niger in the figure.
In the embodiment according to Figure 1, the third part 6 of the trailing edge 3 is longer than the first part 4 but shorter than the second part 5 shaved in the main direction of propagation of the blade. Correspondingly, the fifth part 8 of the trailing edge 3 is longer than the first part 4, shorter than the second part 5 and longer than the fourth part 7 (which is identical to the first part 4) straight in the main direction of propagation of the blade. However, other relative longitudinal conditions are fully conceivable.
As previously mentioned, the first part 4 and the second part 5 are of different lengths. Analogously, it follows that the second part 5 and the fourth part 7 are also of different lengths and that the second part 5 is longer than the fourth part 7 in the main direction of propagation of the saw blade. The second part 5 lies after the fourth part 7 on the saw blade, meaning that the second part 5 passes the workpiece which occurs after the fourth part 7 during sawing.
The wavy trailing edge 3 according to the invention is formed by milling, it being conceivable to use high-speed milling. The milling takes place in the longitudinal direction of the saw blade. The horns on the trailing edge and which normally run the entire length of the blade can be chamfered or rounded, it being conceivable to chamfer or round only one horn or the horns. The above-mentioned shaping of the trailing edge 3 and the chamfering of at least one corner extending in the entire length or part of the length of the blade can take place by milling in one and the same moment, it also being conceivable in this case to use high-speed milling.
The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown but can be varied within the scope of the appended claims. 6
